The UMD Nerf Activity Society is a group of over 200 students and Nerf enthusiasts on the University of Maryland, College Park campus. Our primary purpose is to run games involving Nerf blasters.

During the Fall semester, we run a ARG (Alternate Reality Game) called Humans versus Zombies. This game consists of a small Zombie infection on the UMD campus which rapidly spreads as the Human players are turned. The Humans can defend themselves with Nerf blasters and foam swords. This event is on 24/7 until it is over.

In the Spring semester, we hold a team-based Capture the Flag tournament, with organized games occurring on weekends. This game involves a lot more prior planning and a lot less paranoia on the part of the players.

We welcome all students, faculty, and random passers-by to join us. As long as you can get to the UMD campus, you are welcome to play.

The NAS has a Facebook group; feel to join, but we prefer that you check the forums, since they're updated more regularly.
